We would like to take this opportunity to invite you to join the Luzerne Merchants Association. We are dedicated Businesspeople, Professionals, Government Leaders and Citizens committed to a Better Luzerne Borough. By improving our business district and the surrounding community we can attract more visitors to the Borough and to our shops. We meet regularly to discuss ideas, plan community events, and invite guest speakers to advise us on how we may improve our businesses and most importantly, network with each other to make our own business successful.

The Merchants Association provides various events for the Town and Community throughout the year such as:

The Annual Easter Egg Hunt
An Annual Car Show
The Great Town Yard Sale
An Annual Golf Tournament
The Fall Festival in Downtown Luzerne
A Halloween Parade and Prizes
Christmas on Main Street with Santa.

Benefits for your business:

A website listing your business on the Merchants Association site and link to your own site if you have one.
Advertising Co-ops. Two times per year the Merchants Association places banner ads and list your business as part of the Association at a no cost to your business and in addition the newspapers give a discount on advertising to the Merchants during the event.
The Association arranges Television advertising on Local Channels with discounts to the merchants who wish to participate in our events and the stations also give discounted airtime rates for our merchants.

Advertising is not mandatory for our Merchant Events but only as it fits within your budget and benefits your business.

Our Mission:

To build an active and enthusiastic Merchants Association that serves the needs of the local business community, improving Luzerne Borough's image and reputation, preserving and enhancing the unique pedestrian qualities of Main Street, Luzerne, and to develop strategy and standards to develop a friendly, cooperative, working relationship with each of the businesses and property owners in order to improve the physical, economic and social characteristic of Luzerne Borough's Business District.
